PR and ad agencies are wired — and hired — to meet almost any communication needs a client develops. There are times, however, when it makes sense to bring an outside consultant to the table. A media training and executive communications coaching session is one of those times when the outsider’s view point is welcomed. For example, Carrier is often asked to trouble-shoot and develop a crisis-management response; or to prepare a celebrity or popular sports figure to be the company’s “pitch person.” These short-term assignments allow the agency to gain additional perspective on a client’s issues while enhancing the relationship by working side by side with the client and consultant.
