Entertainment

Keeping celebrities on point for endorsement appearances is crucial, along with promoting movies and TV shows in the press.  Training by Carrier ensures that celebrity and public figures serve as effective product and social cause-marketing spokespeople who can make a passionate product plea and defend the product or cause in any Q and A session.

The “pitch” or the “big idea” is also the life-blood of the entertainment industry.  Getting an idea developed, produced and marketed takes collaboration with highly-trained and talented people. Good collaborations begins when imaginations are sparked. Carrier helps entertainment clients find the right words and harnesses their energy to convey the concepts that will become tomorrow’s hits.

Agencies

PR and ad agencies are wired – and hired — to meet almost any communication needs a client develops. There are times, however, when it makes sense to bring an outside consultant to the table. Media training and an executive communications coaching session is one of those times when the outsider’s view point is welcomed. For example, Carrier is often asked to trouble-shoot and develop a crisis-management response; or to prepare a celebrity or popular sports figure to be the company’s pitch person.  These short-term assignments allow the agency to gain some additional perspective on a client’s issues while enhancing the relationship by working side by side with the client and consultant.

Aviation

The rapid growth of aviation globally rests on the industry’s safety record and its ability to work with regulators worldwide to ensure a hazard-free and seamless system.  Engineering breakthroughs will continue to make flying safer and readily available, creating more economic growth and development.  Carrier assists aviation stakeholders – public officials, pilots and passengers – to share the possibilities, innovations and improvements needed to expand opportunities.

Biotech

It’s been said that the “low-hanging” fruit in pharmaceutical drug development has already been captured. While the golden age of pharmaceutical research may be behind there are many exciting challenges ahead of mankind. Carrier assists all sides in drug research and development — chemists, biologists, marketers and the patient — to be in lock-step around the process of “bench to bedside” medical research.

In addition, Carrier helps scientists to explain in simple and impactful ways to regulators, government leaders and patients how new drugs come to market. Carrier also trains executives to better defend their business practices while allowing for improvements and greater access of new medicines by patients and government health leaders.

Government

Government agencies understand their role is to change and influence society. Leaders at the top of these organizations set the tone for how their agencies will respond and adapt to changes in politics, budgets and the public’s will.  Carrier  empowers leaders and managers to build cooperation and partnerships with private industries, other government agencies and constituents with more effective communication and messaging.

Healthcare

No matter if it’s the provider (physicians and hospitals) or the payers ( health insurance), everyone in medicine is being pressured to deliver more results using less resources.  Additional pressure is added as greater accountability and business transparency is demanded by patient groups, investors, regulators and the public.  Carrier's extensive background in all areas of healthcare – from community-based non-profit organizations to the power corridors of major medical centers and pharmaceutical corporations – is there to empower its clients to carefully balance the line between being profitable, expanding service, and healing the sick.

Corporate

The demands on companies’ profits and operations by consumers, clients and customers seeking better and less-costly products is at an all-time high.  While at the same time, the pressure by regulators, investors and shareholders demanding greater transparencies can create competitive disadvantages. The need to respond to critics and rally supporters has never been more critical than it is today.  Carrier works to keep its clients ahead of the debate and to provide them a clear and relevant communications strategy to be used inside and outside the company.

Education

Never has more demands and expectations been put on educators and learning institutions worldwide – not only to prepare the next generation of workers and leaders but to shape communities and the larger culture as a whole for the future. The goal is to help these educators to communicate about the need to absorb and respond to the changes and challenges ahead. Carrier works with educators to anticipate the future and prepare a communications strategy that paints what the future could look like tomorrow.

Political

The three most successful ingredients in any successful political campaign is to show that a candidate can get voters to turn out at the polls, that the candidate can rally and inspire volunteer workers and can raise substantial cash donations. Behind these three markers or measurements is the requirement that candidates must connect with audiences. Carrier  has a long history of assisting clients for their very public role as national and local candidates who need to speak confidently and wisely.

Start-ups

The myths and misconception around raising money for a new company is at an all-time high. The pressures are particularly acute since the Dot-Com bust. The one true fact that remains is that only 10% of companies succeed during the critical first 5-10 start-up years. The number one indicator that a company could be successful – becoming profitable in 10 years or less – is a company's leadership ability to raise money and to explain realistically how the operations will be built to sustain product development. In short, investors want to know how their money will be spent and what benefits people will enjoy.  Helping leaders to be authentic and accurate is Carrier's number one goal.

Technology

Some of the most exciting advancements of our lifetime are tech oriented. The industry is credited with creating jobs that are both high yield and provide workers with a sense of mission and great satisfaction. Carrier is exceptionally versed in giving the tech industry’s voice meaning and purpose, and getting it into the correct venues to express and help users in this new age of social and corporate responsibility.

Non-Profits

Non-government groups and community-based organizations have a big “voice” and an advocacy role on behalf of under-privileged and under-served people.  The challenge is how to give non-profit leaders and staff a bigger role in debate around the delivery of services to the poor.  Sometime a charismatic leader evolves from one of the groups and at other times a senior manager leader steps up and takes on the role as community activists.  There is a certain balancing act this “rebel” must play between its neighborhood constitutes, the wealthy donors and public officials that may be thousands of miles away.  Carrier is uniquely qualified to assist given our deep background as community fighters on behalf of HIV/AIDS patients to some of the most challenging human and civil rights issues of the past 50 years.
